We all know the 70's trend of indoor plants is at its peak right now and coming along with the trend are the added benefits of them such as fresh air, relaxation and a killer colour scheme but did you know there are also more benefits from putting the right plant in the right room ? Here are 5 plants you can use in your bedroom for a better night sleep.

1. Aloe Vera.

Aloe Vera emits oxygen in the evening leaving your nighttime air fresher and cleaner,  can help you combat insomnia, and just get a better night sleep.


It is super easy to look after, reproduces easily, is okay with not alot of sunlight and will be okay if you forgot to water it occasionally.



2.  Lavender.

Lavender is a golden oldy being used for its calming effects. The classic smell of lavender slows down your heart rate and reduces anxiety levels.


3. Night Jasmine.

The smell of Jasmine has been shown to improve the quality of sleep, ease anxiety and increase alertness and productivity.


4. English Ivy.

Not so popular in Australia, it is said that English Ivy may be beneficial for those who have breathing problems and asthma. Studies show that it can reduce air molds by 94% in 12 hours. Ivy is easy to grow, just make sure the soil is moist.





Like Aloe Vera the plant emits oxygen at night while you sleep taking the carbon dioxide from the air from inside your home.It also filters nasty house hold toxins from the air. Valerian root is used as an anti anxiety treatment and can be found in most natural sleeping aids.
